
Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera’s (“LTAT”) Group of Companies delivers comprehensive flood relief assistance, amounting to RM782,800.00, to support communities affected by the recent floods across Malaysia.
In collaboration with the Government-led GLIC/GLC Demi Rakyat & Negara (“GDRN”), LTAT’s Group of Companies – including Pharmaniaga Berhad, Boustead Holdings Berhad (“BHB”), Boustead Plantations (“BPlant”), Boustead Petroleum Marketing Sdn. Bhd. (“BHPetrol”), Boustead Heavy Industries Corporation Berhad (“BHIC”), Boustead Properties Berhad (“BProp”) and Affin Group Berhad (“AFFIN”) – works closely with the Ministry of Defence, the Malaysian Armed Forces (“MAF”), Department of Social Welfare (“JKM”), and various nongovernmental organisations (“NGOs”) to provide timely and essential assistance.
Among the targeted flood relief efforts across states include:
- Pharmaniaga distributes over 24,000 packs of essential drugs, including vitamins and supplements to aid recovery efforts in Terengganu and Kelantan.
- Boustead Plantations contributes RM50,000.00 to NGOs supporting flood-affected communities in Kelantan, Kedah, Terengganu, and Pahang.
- Boustead Holdings Berhad, in partnership with Boustead Plantation and BHIC, will support NGOs in Kelantan with a contribution of RM27,500.00.
- BHPetrol supplies 400 packs of essential items to evacuation centres through the Ministry of Defence and MAF.
- AFFIN offers its Natural Disaster Relief Programme (“NDRP”) to support clients impacted by floods, offering financial relief across various loans and financial products – including the option to apply for a moratorium of up to six months, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
This initiative also includes LTAT and Yayasan LTAT’s commitment to post-flood recovery efforts, offering volunteer support to veterans in the affected areas, reinforcing the Group’s long-term commitment to community welfare.
LTAT’s Chief Executive, Mohammad Ashraf Md. Radzi, emphasises, “As we anticipate the continuing challenges posed by year-end floods, LTAT remains proactive in our efforts, working closely with our partners to ensure impactful assistance for Malaysians affected by the floods. Our primary focus is to provide timely support to families, especially MAF personnel and veterans, who play a critical role in disaster response. We hope this aid will offer essential relief and care as they navigate the challenges of the rainy season.”
